I set up an initial coffee chat with one of my school's alumni who worked at the firm. A couple of weeks later, Guidehouse showed up on my school's campus, and I met the same associate in person and built up a good relationship with them.
When I got my interview with Guidehouse, it was an hour and a half interview, with 45 minutes for behavioral questions and a 45-minute case where a dataset and questions were sent 48 hours in advance, and I had to make a presentation to present to an associate.
The alumni I met was very nice and hopped on a call with me prior to the interview and gave me some pointers on how the interview usually looked, also saying that I was immediately moved to the final round.
This is where it got strange. After my interview, which I thought I performed pretty well on, I sent my thank you emails to my interviewers and the alumni. Two weeks passed, and I reached out to them all again. No response. Over a month went by and still no response. Not even a no, not even a "We are still deciding."
I thought the process itself was fine, but after the interview, it was handled drastically unprofessionally. If you are applying to Guidehouse in the healthcare space, do not be surprised if they ghost you even after a final round. The case interview takes up a lot of time, and I don't think it's reasonable to get no response after over a month and a half. I had worries about ghosting after my interview after reading a review on Glassdoor and decided to ignore it, but I would definitely consider this when deciding on preparing for the interview.
