The interview process was the worse I’ve ever experienced, I do not even know where to begin. I apply for the job and then the recruiter reaches out to me to set up an interview. The interviewer was late by a few mins, and the background noise was so loud I couldn’t hear the interviewer. I made mention that I could not hear her and it sounded as if she was breaking up or in front of a fan because I couldn’t even catch her name. At the moments when I could hear her, it sounded as if she was reading off of a script and like she was trying to sell me on the company product (I’ve already done days of research on the firm prior to the interview). We then proceeded to redundant situational based questions, a ridiculously low salary offer amount and then she asked me what computer programs was I good at using. At this point of the interview, I was at a disbelief of what was going on. I know the CEO like to be on Glassdoor and I hope that he reads this because your HR pretty much called me incompetent when I questioned how it was concluded that I wasn’t a fit for the role. She didn’t even ask me about me, my financial services experience etc. received no offer for lord knows what reason… baffling and shameful. Dodged a bullet on this because it is definitely representative of the firm as a whole. Can’t forget to add, the role was listed for $20 but she offered $17.50… almost as if she never read the job posting.
