First, you have to complete a quiz that is reviewed. Second, there is a video interview with someone from HR. Third, you have to complete a challenge project. Fourth, there is a technical interview with 2 Engineers.
I applied online. I interviewed at GrowFlow in Sept 2020
Interview
They will send you a three-hour coding challenge that will never be mentioned during any of your interviews. You will get through meeting with HR and engineering folks just fine. Then you will meet with their "CTO." My take, this is a hipster who got lucky and managed to convince management he's a technical genius through BS more than skill. He'll ask questions like, "What is .NET Standard and why is it important?" The answer he's looking for? "Because it's a standard." He'll also ask things like, "What is a fat arrow function in JavaScript and how else can you declare a function?" So, basically a bunch of BS questions that have nothing to do with whether you can do the job or not. And then, if he decides he doesn't like you they'll tell you they found someone else for the position.
My advice, don't waste your time. There are a lot of companies looking for people that will treat you far better.
We are sorry that you had a negative experience with us. We do cover all the steps to expect, including the code challenge, in the Google form that is sent to every applicant, but we recognize not everyone reads that. We will do our part to make sure we verbally cover this information in the future.
