Done 1st round interview and was assured will get a 2nd round. Despite follow up and advise from recruitment specialist that will get updated, I got a reply that hiring by referral superseded my candidacy. What is most unprofessional is that the hiring took place during my 2nd follow up and keeping me on waiting only to know 3 weeks later that I lost the opportunity!
