I was interviewed at Groundswell. It was scheduled for 45 minutes. The interview lasted for just around 20 minutes asking two questions: why I want to join the company and what my experiences are. The interviewer appeared to be unenthusiastic the whole time and felt like the interviewer was in a hurry. I was really uncomfortable at the time and with how the interview was handled, it made it more uncomfortable. At the end, I was not asked if I have questions right away. I expressed the interest to ask questions which made me forgot my prepared queries. I was given opportunity to do so but it really felt I wasn't welcome. The entire interview made me feel, as a candidate, that I was not set up for success. Interviews are also meant to show the company culture and that is one of the important considerations for candidates like me. I was captivated by the company culture and the descriptions I saw on the website and job ad but those, unfortunately, were not resonated during the entire process. Advice: Be more engaging on interview session whether you like the candidate or not. They put in some time to attend as well.
