I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Groth Music in Jun 2023
Interview
Set up for a Zoom call but they had technology issues so called me by phone 10 minutes late. Group interview with 3 current employees/management. Unclear who would be my supervisor. The first 5-10 minutes were the interviewer describing the benefits and pay of the job, and a little about the tasks and role of the job. The remaining 30 minutes were open for questions. I had a lot of questions given they did not tell me much about the role. They have a "we are a family" mentality to the business, though this position is commission-based. Starting base pay would be less than I am making at my current company in a similar role. I asked questions about growth and advancement and there was no clear path or promise of opportunities. Interview ended with an offer(?) where they said I need to let them know if I am still interested, or they will let me know if they find someone else in the next two weeks. When I asked for a formal/written offer so I could easily compare with my upcoming interviews at other companies, they declined. I declined the "offer" less than 48 hours later and they replied that they had found someone else anyway!
