I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Granicus in Jun 2019
Interview
Applied online and contacted via phone for screening. I was asked about my resume and experiences and was told to do a pre-employment assessment and if that goes well, they would give me a take home coding challenge. The online assessment consists of two parts and the first one is aptitude test while the second is personality test. The aptitude test is not a typical assessment you would expect for such position and it asks you to find patterns, math, fill in blanks. The issue with the test is that you have 15 minutes to answer 50 questions and you are basically rushing and don't even have enough time to read the questions properly. I answered about 32 and was told that I didn't meet the required score.
I really didn't like how they conducted this interview because you don't even get the results back and can't tell if you did good or bad but this is probably HR idea so there is that.

Interview
I applied online for an Associate Software Engineer position and they responded to me after a while and after going through a phone screening, they told me that I needed to do an easy online aptitude test followed by a coding challenge. Well, I thought the assessment should be easy but I had to answer 50 questions which were unrelated to programming/the job in 15 mins and honestly I was rushing to answer as many as I could since I was told not to spend more than 15 seconds on each question. After the assessment I received an email which stated that my results were not good enough and they are moving with a different candidate. I didn't even get a chance for the coding challenge.
I feel like this is some HR bs and a technical role shouldn't be subjected to such hiring practices but the system is broken so there is that.

Interview
Received an email that they were interested in me. In the email, they asked if I'd schedule a phone screening with them. I scheduled the interview and the recruiter called 5 minutes later than scheduled. After that, I completed a cognitive and personality assessment while I had my camera turned on (they won't accept the assessments without this piece). I sent an email to the recruiter stating that I had finished the assessments and from there, was totally ghosted. I'll be sure not to recommend this company to any of my contacts going forward.
