I was contacted by a hiring manager on Tuesday 8/2 to schedule an interview with one of the CEO's.
I scheduled my interview for Thursday 8/12 at 5:30PM. 5:30PM came and went, and so I decided to call the number provided on the calendar invite, only to get an error message from Verizon saying the call couldn't be connected. I reached out to the hiring manager via e-mail at 5:33PM, informing them I haven't heard from the CEO and that I tried calling the number with no success. They responded at 5:38PM telling me that my interview with the CEO will not be moving forward because:
"The company has found the candidate that wat we are looking for to fill the Enrollment Coordinator role." - direct line from his email.
If that was the case, my interview should've been cancelled the minute they filled the role - NOT 8-10mins after my original interview time. This wasn't professional or considerate, and honestly I'm glad to have dodged a bullet with this one.
Hey LaCara - Preston here who you were supposed to connect with. Truthfully, I agree - it wasn't the best experience but I had just finished the interview with the candidate who I had a deep knowing was THE ONE for this position and I told my assistant to reach out to the rest of the candidates that have interviews to cancel them as soon as I knew that. I apologize for the close proximity to your interview, but I had to get them onboarded and begin training.
