Contacted by a recruiter. Very nice and good description of the position. They were very honest with me about who had suggested me for the position. They arrange an initial interview for me with the hiring manager who had a lot of questions for me -- though I sensed they were still deciding exactly what the position would entail.

They asked me how I would react to a client who complained about under delivery of service
There were multiple rounds of interviews that focused on personality and general knowledge of the space. No case studies or any "test." I met with individuals who would be reporting into this role as well as peers and managers of this role.
