The first‑round interview itself was fine. The recruiter asked a few basic questions about my background, but the rest of the call was spent discussing the role and the company. I was surprised by how little they asked about my actual experience, it felt like they gathered minimal information before moving on. One thing that stood out was the communication style: the recruiter paused after almost every sentence and seemed to expect verbal acknowledgment each time, which made the conversation feel a bit awkward and unnatural. I was told I would hear back within 48–72 hours, but it has now been over a week with no update, not even a rejection email. Even if the decision is a “no,” a simple follow‑up would be more respectful than being ghosted after an interview.
