My interview process with Glovo started with an initial conversation with the HR team. This first interview went well; the recruiter was attentive, engaged, and took the time to revisit and clarify points that I had not fully understood during our discussion.
Following this stage, I was asked to complete a business case, which I prepared and submitted. Afterward, I was invited to present my work in an online meeting.
During the presentation, three people attended: the HR recruiter, the hiring manager, and another employee from a different country who appeared to be observing the process.
Unfortunately, my experience during this stage was significantly less positive. The interview started considerably later than scheduled, which initially gave me the impression that the meeting may have been forgotten. Once the presentation began, I felt there was limited interest and engagement with the content I was presenting. The atmosphere seemed rushed, and there appeared to be a desire to conclude the meeting quickly, despite the delayed start being outside of my control.
Throughout the presentation, I perceived a lack of attention and genuine interest in my analysis and recommendations. This left me feeling undervalued and somewhat disrespected as a candidate. Like the interviewers, I had invested a significant amount of time and effort into preparing the business case and attending the meeting. As a result, I was disappointed by what I perceived as a dismissive and indifferent attitude during this stage of the process.
While my initial interaction with the HR team was very positive, the presentation stage left me with a negative impression of the overall candidate experience.
