I interviewed at Gilsanz Murray Steficek (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview process was enjoyable and engaging, especially for candidates who appreciate discussing structural engineering concepts, technical design challenges, analytical thinking, and real-world problem-solving with experienced engineers in a professional and collaborative environment.

Interview
Some confusion about the position. But the interview was straightforward. General questions to ask. Then a small quiz to answer. Has a couple static problems and easy calculations. Then a english test that i cough me by surprise.

Interview
There is an English proficiency test and a technical set of questions. The first part of the technical section requires knowledge from undergraduate studies. However, my interviewee mentioned that the final three questions are typically answered correctly only by graduate students, such as those pursuing a Master's or PhD.

Question 1
The technical questionnaire included basic truss questions, followed by unconventional statically determinate frames. In addition to being able to construct shear and bending moment diagrams for these structural configurations, a strong understanding of the underlying theory is essential.
