I was asked to prepare a presentation ahead of time. I was given only a single day of availability for the interview. I did the presentation over teams. In retrospect, I should have rearranged my schedule to be able to attend in person. I I was told I would have 20 minutes to present. I was asked to answer the following questions:
•As you build and lead this new team of APMs—and potentially seasoned Project Managers—how will you assess individual needs, tailor development efforts, and support growth across a range of experience levels? Share examples of how you’ve successfully led mixed-experience teams and helped elevate both emerging and seasoned professionals.
•This role requires strong alignment with peer supervisors and project managers. How do you build trust, maintain consistency, and influence outcomes when you’re not the most senior person in the room? Share examples of how you’ve collaborated across teams or led laterally in a matrixed environment.
•PMO is undergoing ongoing changes in our culture, staffing and work processes as we move into next year and beyond. What strategies will you use to ensure a smooth transition and address any resistance with team members? How do you lead through change? What is your Leadership approach to strengthening team culture?
•Please include any additional information that you would like to share with the panel.
