I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Georgia Power (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2015

      Interview

First step is to apply online on Southern Company's website. If your application is accepted, then you will be contacted and do a short phone interview. From there, if you're still in the running for the position, you will be asked to come in for an actual interview. The interview is performed by a 3-5 person panel and lasts about 15-20 minutes.

      Interview

Standard personality questions in order to get to know you. They want to gage your interest in the company and make sure you will be a good member to the team. They are very big on safety, so if you were to mention that in your interview, it would definitely help you stand out.

      Interview

Meet at Georgia Power at the career fair. I waited in line and then spoke to a representative who passed me through to another person who scheduled me for an interview the next day. The next day, there was an on campus interview. Not too many technical questions were asked, just personality and problem solving situations. Finally there was a phone interview to narrow down which position I would fill best.
