Originally received and email and a call from one of their recruiters. After talking about the company for approximately an hour, he finally asked me for my salary requirements. I told him my requirements, and he said that was too high. I thanked him for his time, and said I wasn't interested.
Two weeks later, the HR department emailed me, asking me for interview. I declined, saying they didn't meet my salary requirements. She persisted, so I agreed, thinking that maybe they had changed their mind.
The phone interview was with the Director of Engineering (I think). He asked me easy questions and talked about the company, and then asked if I would come out for an interview. I brought up the salary issue, and he also stated that was too high. I declined again.
Two days later, I received another email from the original recruiter, telling me my expectations were too high and I need to lower them.
