I had to take a written translation test to become a standard translator and a pro translator. It was a fairly short test with a time limit. The test would then be evaluated with feedback provided.

Question 1
There wasn't any interview questions. Only a written test.
I applied online. I interviewed at Gengo (Miami, FL)
Interview
Completed the Pro test. Passed test, although was challenging. There were no interviews, just the test. It probably took me about an hour to do the test because the example was specifically meant to be challenging with clear "traps". The key is to not do a literal translation and to instead try to interpret the meaning and communicate it as a native would in the target language.
They give you a paragraph to translate and then a senior translator checks it. you have 3 tries every 6 months to pass. if you do, you get jobs through their platform and gets payed through Payoneer or PayPal
