Phone screening with HR, then in person interview with Dir of Finance.
The HR personnel was very pleasant. I thought things went well. And i actually enjoyed my meeting with her
Until I realized the Director didnt show up for the interview and i was supposed to be interviewed by the Director. No explanation or apology was provided. I thought that was unprofessional. It's not like Director was unaware because Director was copied on the email few days before interview and upon announcing my arrival at front desk and informing them I had an appointment with the Director, front desk staff proceeded to call the Director, so he was in the building. But instead I was met by HR, and no one mentioned what happened to the Director. Looking back I realized it would be best not to work there. Can you imagine the lack of regard for someone's time and the lack of communication and how that can affect one's employment? I can. It waste of my time. I never had a chance since Director didn't show up. At least change the interview date/time or be upfront and cancel the interview if Director is not interested in the candidate. I dont think it was the HR personnel's fault. It seemd like Director refused to show up and HR was caught off guard and could not/did not want to provide fake explanation. Because if there was a valid reason, HR would have just relayed that information and make an apology.Simple.
Be upfront. Id rather you tell us,you're not interested rather than waste our time.
