Three managers interviewed me at the same time. This was not typical, but it saved me from repeating many answers. The interviewers were more sympathetic because they knew it was intimidating.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
After describing a successful team project, I was asked, what specifically did you do to lead to the success.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) (Warren, MI) in Feb 2018
Interview
Sent the application online and received a phone call from the recruiter in a couple days. Followed by a phone screening interview, and a personality and logic test taken online. It took them a couple days to arrange for the phone interview with the hiring manager which was a panel interview. Two weeks after the phone interview and after two follow up emails I was scheduled for an on-site visit. The gap between the phone interview and on-site was almost 6 weeks. Onsite consisted of three one-on-one and three panel interviews with a mix of technical and behavioral type settings. I also gave an hour-long technical presentation about my background. Overall the interview was conducted/arranged professionally. I didn't hear back from them for almost a month and then was notified that I was no longer in the running. Very slow but positive experience overall.
