      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at General Mills in Nov 2007

      Interview

First I applied through my college job search system (resume only) and was told to attend their info session. I did and spoke with them again at the career fair. My resume was accepted and my first round of interviews was one-on-one on campus. I was notified later in the week about the second round interview and tests. For this, I took a test that we "were not expected to finish" that was a measure of our general intellectual ability. It included word and math questions. We were given information about a personality test we needed to take online over the next week. Finally there was a second one-on-one interview. A week or so later I was notified about the third round interview. I was flown to the sales office, given a tour of the building, shadowed someone in my desired position for 30 minutes, interviewed by the top brass in the office, and then taken to lunch. I went home and received an offer a week or two later.

      Interview

It was an easy process with lots of opportunity to showcase my skills. One of the best things is the interviewer was very easy going. Made the process so smooth

      Interview

The interviewers were very friendly and kind, not too probing. They were interactive and engaged and seemed to also really enjoy their jobs very much as well. It was two interviews and we were picked for second rounds that night.

      Question 1

Gave me an example of a coworkers schedule and asked me what I would do if I had that schedule and was overbooked.

      Declined offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at General Mills (Rogers, AR)

      Interview

Phone interview first, then face-to-face with three people in the office (two directors and a manager). No one could fully explain the job I was interviewing for, nor did I interview with anyone who would be my direct supervisor.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked a lot of "how would you" or "tell me a time when" type questions. One also asked incredibly inappropriate questions and made snide remarks concerning certain people working in the office.
