First interview with Talent Acquisition, talked about experience, pretty standard. Second interview was a panel interview with half a dozen developers, essentially amounted to a roasting session, to be fair they did mention that some of the questions they would be asking would be exploratory for checking the fit for other roles but the variety turned out to be a bit jarring. Half way through I was accused of cheating because I was looking left when answering some of the questions so I picked up my laptop panned around the room to physically show them there was not any other screen there. Got the sense that many of the questions were posturing for the other developers present on the call to flaunt their specific knowledge of obscure topics rather than judging the candidates general fluency.
