I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Feb 2019
Interview
The onsite interviews are at least a full day and include a shipyard tour, lunch, and finally the face to face interview. The interview was extremely relaxing and essentially covers the responsibilities for the position and your resume and experience. I was asked very few standard interview questions. It was mostly just a conversation on how I could fit into the department. The selection process for engineers can take a long time, so this review shows I was not offered a position but am actually still currently waiting on a response.

I applied online, about a 3 weeks later I had a phone screen. 2 weeks later I was then contacted again to set up an onsite interview. They flew me out, paid for my hotel, and rental car. The interview process took about a full day. It included a tour of the shipyard, an interview with manager of the department, and lunch with one of the engineering members. It was a great interview.
