I applied online. I interviewed at Gen Re

      Interview

The 1st round was an interview with the hiring manager. The 2nd round was a translation assessment. The 3rd round was a talk with the hiring manager again to discuss the role and remuneration package. A verbal offer was made during the final round, but I requested to be given some time to think about it. And the next day, I received an email saying that the hiring manager had changed her mind, and a written offer was not made. The overall impression I had was that the company (or at least the hiring manager) was out to squeeze their employees dry like a sugar cane. They expect the candidates to be a jack-of-all-trades and be willing to do anything and everything they are tasked with. I was kind of glad that the offer was rescinded partly because the probation and notice period were 6 months and 3 months respectively (even for a junior role).
