Interview
- 2 hours with hr and tehnical
The Java interview process typically includes a phone screen, technical coding assessments, system design discussion, and behavioral questions, focusing on Java, Spring, APIs, databases, and problem-solving skills.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Garmin (Cluj-Napoca) in Mar 2019
Interview
One of the recruiters approached me on LinkedIn and propose me a job at Garmin. This was the most awful experience I had until now. The HR Generalist and the technical people (one team lead and one senior developer) were totally unprofessional. When I entered the building no one was as front desk so I couldn't go upstairs. The interview took much more time than they initially said. The questions was most of them unclear, the interviewers (2 women) keep repeated they don't have time. This caused me to feel very uncomfortable. There was a combined HR + technical interview. After the interview I explicitly asked when I will receive a feedback from the company. They said 1, maxim 2 weeks. It has been a long time since that period expired and I didn't receive any feedback. A week after the interview, another Garmin recruiter approached me for the same position. The recruiter didn't know that I already was there at an interview. This only proves that their HR team members don't communicate between them and because they are in the first line of the interaction this only proves me that HR Management at Garmin is an amateur immature group of people. To summarize, I regret I wasted my time going to an interview with them.
