I first received a call for a pre-screening interview. I was told the information would be forwarded to the director at the airport and I would know by the next week if I made the cut. A week later, I got a phone call inviting me to do some in person testing, which was a few weeks later due to holidays. The first test was a pretty easy general knowledge test, the next 2 were xray image detection tests, where you have 15-20 seconds to see if there was a threat or not, and to list images that you see, sometimes up to 8 images in one picture, within 15 seconds.
The whole experience went sour the moment they started to threaten us. "If you cheat, you are banned for life from the company, if you do that banned for life! Do this? Banned for life! We have security cameras in the room and are watching you!" I understand it's a serious job, but I honestly think they went overboard with constantly reminding us about it, in an "In you face" kind of tone. Had they told us just once, in a much more friendly tone, my views would have been completely different. If that is how they treat applicants, I don't even want to know how they treat their employees. Looking back, I am glad I failed the last 2 tests. I will not reapply with Gardaworld.
