I applied online. I interviewed at GameStop (Minneapolis, MN) in Jan 2022
Interview
Very chill, did the interview in the back room. Ben was lovely and asked meaningful questions instead of the typical "tell me about a time" nonsense that didn't apply to the job. It was quick and easy.

How comfortable are you dealing with frustrated customers?
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at GameStop (Tinley Park, IL)
Interview
For the interview, I was asked the typical questions surrounding dealing with problem/upset customers and how to de-escalate it and turn it into a positive experience. Also had to do a roleplay situation the floor to show my knowledge of game genres and systems.

Question 1
Have you ever dealt with a situation that a customer was upset and how did you de-escalate it and turn it into a positive experience for them.
Comfortable, relaxed and understandable. Low pressure and very much fair/balanced questions. Mainly left up to their managers to decide how to approach you. Quick and personable, normally trying to feel for who you are rather than just how much you have done.
