First step of application was answering questions, second step a quick 15min chat, then a longer reasoning test with a variety of brain teasers. After this, I was sent an unreasonably demanding candidate assignment consisting of 4 different tasks. All the tasks were relevant for the position. The effort demanded by these tasks is unlike anything I have experienced in prior interview processes, and my peers confirmed that they also felt the assignment was overly burdensome. The demanding and time consuming tasks leave an impression that the company is using the recruitment process as free labour. At this point, I had not yet received a proper introduction to this mysterious company (apart from the quick intro during the 15min chat) and further details on the position, so by completing the tasks, the reasoning tests etc. the process felt very one-sided. I did not advance in the process. Strangely enough, the exact same position with a slightly different title had a new job advertisement. I would advise people applying for the position to adjust the level of effort in completing the assignment so that they do not give free labour by accident.
