I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GSK (Stevenage, England) in Jul 2014
Interview
The interview went well, it wasn't too long and ended with a lab tour and meeting the other members of the team. It consisted of the manager of the team and a member who would be training the new employee, the room wasn't too big or intimidating and the questions were easy to answer. GSK were very fast with an offer and I received this either later on in the day or the very next day (I can't remember exactly).
Half-day in-person interview with 90-min panel interview, lab tour, and a chance to meet the team. Standard interview questions with emphasis on HR style wording of the questions. Panel were friendly and helpful, happy to explain or repeat questions.
The interview process consisted of a virtual interview using a website to submit recorded answers, then one virtual interview with the full team followed by a short portion of speaking with the hiring manager.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me a time when you had to make a quick decision at work.
First there was an initial Hire Vue interview, then in person panel interview with two different sets of employees. The interview lasted two hours. Each employee asked at least two questions and the questions were your basic interview questions.
