This was a 2-step interview process. The first was with a recruiter and was just some simple get-to-know-you questions and basic interview questions. The second was with engineers and some recruiting staff. This included basic interview questions and some additional questions regarding my experience. Very reasonable and friendly interviewers.

Question 1
Tell us about yourself and why you are interested in working with us and this position.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at GMF Structural (Lakeland, FL) in Jun 2025
Interview
The interview process took longer than I expected. It involved three interviews and an on-site shadowing session. Afterward, I was asked to participate in another interview, but I decided I was no longer interested in the position, so I submitted a withdrawal email. Despite this, I was contacted via text, rather than a phone call, to congratulate me and offer me the position. They then asked about my availability to schedule a time to discuss the offer. It felt like a last-minute attempt to persuade me not to leave. I replied, stating that I had already sent my withdrawal email and was no longer interested. The recruiter then asked if I would be willing to schedule a meeting to discuss what I felt was unprofessional about the process and to share my thoughts on how the recruiting and interview process could be improved.
