The process took 3 months. I interviewed at GIC in Oct 2017
Interview
HR screening, a panel interview and assessment center. The personality test was really long and it’s pointless to lie through it as they ask in many different ways. Do not be discouraged if you cannot finish the IQ component - seems like a stress test. Prepare for the case study for the respective industry/job you’re applying for. Focus on fit- can’t comment on what fits though, might be team dependent.
Very technical based, asked about overall market knowledge and then a lot of math based questions. Example question is how do you calculate the IRR of this scenario and how did you come to this cap rate.
The interview process at GIC was structured and thorough. It involved multiple rounds, including behavioral and technical questions. The interviewers focused on problem-solving skills, past experiences, and alignment with the company’s values. There was also a case study and a discussion on industry trends.

Question 1
Can you describe a time when you had to solve a complex problem with limited resources?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GIC in Oct 2024
Interview
Applied via recruiter. It was an online interview arranged via the recruiters' Teams. Hiring mgrs seemed hostile from the start. They informed recruiter that someone with DA/BA skillsets fits the role, but during interview said that they're looking for data mgmt skillsets. Claiming that taking DS course is not suitable for the role sounds like excuses to call off the interview early. Generally, it felt like the hiring mgrs have already shortlisted their candidate much early on but chose not to cancel the interview, wasting everyone's time & resources. I was pleased that the recruiter was available shortly after the interview to see me through this.
