Let me tell my experience with the Geico. The company in house Recruiter all sudden tried to schedule the technical interview without calling, introducing herself, finding out about my background. These were pretty much RED FLAGS. So, I kept ignoring her without responding her emails. After she insisted, I agreed to for being interviewed by Hiring Manager and Lead of technical teal. This was CICD Release Engineer position. So, before interview I checked the profiles of HM and team Lead. And found that HM work history looked very shady, and Team Lead got also shady work history. Then I came into conclusion that this was going to be a token interview. At the time of interview HM did not show up, so he had to. I talked to Team Lead. And the technical interview which was scheduled for 1 hour lasted more than hour. I found out the Team Lead did not know much about the position they ‘re trying to hire. He asked a lot of questions to clear it up which he did not know completely before interview. So, this 1-hour interview turned out to be a CRASH COURSE for him to this open position. He really enjoyed the interview. When I asked him about next steps, he was unable to answer, simply he did not know anything. He was just playing game following someone ‘s instructions who did now show up in front of camera. After interview I sent thanks email to him and in House Recruiter asking about the next steps. Recruiter did not respond me. And in a few days, I got automatic message that says I was not chosen for this position. Total Bull, Geico’s recruiter and IT team play dirty game. They just sorting out and kicking out the US local candidates to gather statistic to EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTINITY COMMISION to show an excuse that they did not find proper candidate in US and want to bring “Talent” (H1B slave) from overseas.
