I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at GEICO (San Diego, CA) in Apr 2021
Interview
Applied online, got a call the next day or two after I believe. The first call was to see if my schedule would fit, a little info on the job, etc. Pretty easy. Next, they had me take a little assessment with two parts. One part was basically a simulation to see how accurate you can be when multitasking. Second part of it was a typing test. After passing that, I was scheduled a call with the HR manager for a phone interview. The questions are annoying but pretty easy, she asked questions like "Why do you want to work at GEICO," some scenario questions, and some "name a time when..." questions. Just be confident and honest when you are speaking. After passing that, I was scheduled the second (and final) assessment which is more related to the job, it's more multitasking to see your accuracy and speed. Once passing that, I was scheduled a final interview with the department manager and was asked to watch a 23 minute video of a couple of sample calls when on the job. If you make it here, you basically have the job. The manager asked a few of the same questions, description about the job, and if you are okay with being remote, etc. I was offered the position in the end. Lengthy but pretty easy process overall if you have a decent amount of customer service experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time when you had to persuade a customer and employee and explain what you did.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at GEICO (Tallahassee, FL) in Mar 2015
Interview
The test at the beginning was easy. The interview questions are the hardest part of the process. Be sure to be on your toes and provide thorough answers. Be honest.
