      Web Developer/Front-end Developer Interview

      2 Jun 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Indianapolis, IN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fusion Alliance (Indianapolis, IN) in May 2015

      Interview

Like some other reviews have pointed out this company seems to have a bad habit of not responding back to potential candidates. This is the second time in the last 2+ years I've interview with this company and the experience was pretty much the same. Both times the company had initially reached out to me and each time I've had to send follow up emails after no response for a week. This time around I had an in person interview with a few of their staff on the digital side. Two of which had admitted to having no real coding experience or knowledge however were still creating and coding websites? Both interviewers had kept the interview professional and were able ask questions based on their knowledge/ experience. The third interview however, felt like they were more interested in playing a game. I was asked question such as "If I could be any animal what animal would I be?" and "How do you think you would fit into our group?". Most of the questions were around high school level and just felt a little insulting. Throughout the interview I tried asking questions and engaging in conversation. Some of which were responded with answers but, most responses were overly generic and basically not really answering the questions. Some answers had nothing to do with the question at all. Overall I thought the interview may have gone well but, I was hard to tell since it felt like the interview was more of a game and not be taken seriously. I don't mind having fun at work or in an interview. I'm easy going enough to have fun with that but it's completely unprofessional to ask those type of questions and try to use that to make your decisions. Top that off with the fact that I had to constantly follow up it just felt like I was playing a game the entire time.
