Uploaded resume to their website. Reformatted the resume text because their software mixed it up some. Answered a full page of questions some unrelated to the position such as how do you stay current on technology. Answered a race questionnaire. Entire process took over one hour.
Setup then completed a telephone interview. Lasted for 1/2 hour. Was told I would be contacted by the end of the week after my information was passed on. Never received one response! Very rude behavior. Be aware that this is how this company operates. I told them I was under a deadline for my current projects, they didn't care and wasted my time anyway. Now I'm wasting more time telling other people... see how this snowballs.
I was offering 10 years experience and I code according to the web standards from W3C. There are over 20 languages on my resume. This isn't day one for me, I'm quite valuable as a candidate and frankly I deserve respect for all the work I've put into my trade. They ignored me like I was just out of high school and trying to apply for something out of my skill set. Not even the courtesy of a response after they named the timeline. Not professional and not anything like they claim about their company standards. I'm glad I learned earlier than later that they are not to be trusted. Imagine if I had believed them and wasted more time in interviews.
Companies should be aware that as much as you are judging us - we have all the ability to judge you too. When you treat a potential employee without respect you ask them to think bad things about your ability to perform. If you are too lazy to send an e-mail, you don't deserve business and especially not well qualified staff. I should end up in a company I can be proud to name because every company that has had me is proud of my work. Who can be proud of a liar. That's what this company did, lie.
