Phone screen followed by an in-person interview with four different HR staff members. It then took almost two months (and several follow up emails on my part) to officially get rejected. The really disappointing part came when I was given feedback on why I wasn't selected. I was given two reasons. One of these reasons had to do with my experience and was unfortunately incorrect. My resume and our discussion during the interview process made it clear I had this essential component. The other reason was a head scratcher as it was something that was brought up at the end of my interview as an “oh by the way have you” and was not something that I recall even being identified on the job description. Since then I keep wondering if there was another reason why I wasn’t selected or if I just wasn’t important enough as a candidate for them to check their notes on in order to provide a valid reason why I wasn’t selected. Either way it left me feeling pretty crappy about a company I really wanted to work for.
