I made it to the second round of interviews with Frontage. The first was a standard Zoom meeting. The second consisted of checking my laboratory skills as well as a sit down interview with lab management. I thought things went well overall, apparently one of the Account Managers with the recruiting company was told so as well. However, Frontage decided not to pursue my application any further. I believe this was likely due to lab management telling me that I didn’t write my own thesis manuscript. See, he asked me a question about my thesis manuscript and I couldn’t answer it - largely because the question he asked had NOTHING to do with my research. I believe he either read a line where I referenced another scholars paper or simply read a different manuscript and conflated the two. It was very unprofessional as he didn’t even give me the opportunity to show him that he was mistaken.
