Toxic, Time-Wasting Hiring Process – Stay Far Away from this place.
I went through six rounds of interviews over two and half months for a marketing role, even taking an unpaid half-day to do an in-person panel interview, only to be left in the dark for weeks and receive a generic rejection via Indeed. After all that time and effort, no direct communication, no feedback— just a cold, automated response, and I was even personally referred and know people in the industry with a ton of relevant experience, and was still treated this way.
When I followed up, they tried to gaslight me saying it was a tech error by Indeed, and that they had no idea how the rejection was sent. It’s comical they thought I would buy that for a second. They only cared about saving face. Also, they let go of the HR person during this process, who knows who else? So instead of being upfront, they dragged things out unnecessarily, leading me to believe I was still being considered for the role when they had likely made their decision long before I was "notified."
The entire process felt like a test of blind loyalty, where they expected candidates to suck up to them in every round and foam at the mouth with enthusiasm while being dragged through this exhausting process. Completely disregarding the time and energy I had already spent answering the same questions over and over to different people. You’d think they would communicate with each other instead of putting all the burden on the candidate.
Prepare to gaslight yourself into wanting the job only to be discarded at the very end with no explanation. They claim to be “like a family” in the office, which should have been the biggest red flag, what they really mean by that is they demand full loyalty while offering zero respect for your time or career and achievements.
If you have any self-respect and professional integrity, stay far away from this company. It’s giving narcissistic workplace vibes, and I can only imagine how they treat actual employees if this is how they handle hiring. You’d think this job was for the CIA with the sheer number of questions I had to answer and the information I had to provide to multiple people over the course of 2.5 months. Dodged a bullet.

Question 1
After six rounds, they still asked, 'Why do you want to work here?' At that point, I started asking myself the same thing.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Front Burner Brands in Aug 2018

Completely unprofessional, did not follow set timeline, work for suggested pay is ludicrous. Run away from here. Staff seems nice enough but don't expect for anyone to touch back with you without reaching out first. You can only seem to speak to one person a week, takes nearly a month to get in the actual location. Complete waste of time.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Front Burner Brands (Tampa, FL) in Jun 2015

Present portfolio and resume to team. Team in-turn ask questions about my portfolio. Asks what my current availability was. Asked about my previous hospitality experience. Asked about my art skills.
