I interviewed at Friends Committee on National Legislation (Washington, DC)
Interview
Took 4 months to respond to the application and then scheduled an initial phone screening. The phone screening was a full blown first interview and not a screening which caught me slightly off guard.

Question 1
They asked a lot of specifics about previous organizing experience
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Friends Committee on National Legislation in Nov 2023
Interview
Emailed after a month or so of applying to set up a phone screen. Phone screen is decent, nothing too difficult asked. Told that next steps would be finding out about the next round in two weeks time and told to email one of the people on the call with any questions. Don’t hear anything by a month later, So I email said person just checking if the timeline has changed. Get ghosted. Email again a few weeks after that initial email, Never to be responded to. As a Quaker that lack of transparency, community, and stewardship already told me that this organization was probably not actually rooted in Quaker values which was severely disappointing. I assume I wasn’t selected to move forward until I get a generic non personal email 3 months after the phone screen saying they actually are just removing the position and not hiring for it at the moment and to apply for other positions with the organization. Completely disappointed as a candidate and Quaker in this organization which I previously lauded.
