A couple phone screens then, on-site interviews, then “offer” stage (quotes explained later).
Every step was straight forward/conventional until interviews with owner. One interview, via Teams, was more the owner talking and didn’t respect time guidelines established before and during conversation, so it went long.
Still received verbal offer that day. Was asked to come back on-site to receive offer, but that turned into another hour long interview where the owner again talked for about 75% of it. A printed offer was sitting on the table ready to present to me this entire time.
After that conversation, I was sent home and told I would receive an offer in the morning - which marks the 3rd time I was informed I would get an offer. This offer included a change in responsibilities and a decrease in previously discussed salary.
