The interview process was a bit different than others described here. A technical recruiter for Fortinet reached out to me via Linkedin. We had a brief HR screening interview via phone call. This was followed by a 1 hour panel type interview with members of the team I'd be joining. I was then given a HackerRank questionnaire containing about 25 basic networking multiple choice questions, about 5 fill in the blank sentences and two open form and diagram based questions. I passed that and was told they would like to hire me and would be working to get an offer out. It stalled at that point and for several weeks I tried to get updates. About 3 weeks after my final interview, I was told that they could no go through with the offer despite wanting to hire me due to not having an approved requisition and entering a hiring freeze. Enjoyed meeting the team and thought it would be a good fit, and they seemed to think likewise, The recruiter was good to work with, and I can appreciate he could only provide what information he was given when it was given to him. However, the totality and end result gave a bad impression.
