Forever New Software Engineer interview questions

I applied via a recruiter. Technical Interview was arranged within 3-4 days. There was an offshore employee (from India) and 2 onshore employees (Australia). The Indian employee started asking very lame and stupid questions which do not have to do anything with practical programming. I said that I didn't know answers to his silly questions. Then he started asking more practical questions. Later, I was told that they need someone who has worked on integration projects.
