Worked with FMB as a contractor from 97-05. Worked inside from 05-08. Layoff in 08. I was called about this job, went through application process, phone interview, personal interview with 4 managers. This took about a month. After the interview I was advised that the decision would take a week. They called and offered a " contingent offer " the next day. I took this as they were eager to hire me. 3 weeks later they call and withdraw their offer based on a wrong hire date from a previous employer from 7 years ago. I offered to bring in tax forms showing what year I worked there. I was advised that this inconsistency amounted to a misrepresentation on my application and resume. Basically I was called a liar and FMCSA cheat. I would think they would have checked all this before offering any kind of job. This error overshadowed 11 years of work history with FMB, as well as causing them not to hire a perfectly qualified candidate.
