      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Focus Reports (Madrid) in Jun 2019

      Interview

Three step process. The first interview was a short phone call to check know if I was still available and interested, I was also told a bit more about what the position entailed. The second interview was a Skype interview, a little long, mostly got asked questions about how I would solve this or that situation in a foreign country. Third part was an in person interview in their offices in Madrid with other people in the group interviewing for the same process as you, adds a little pressure for sure. This was done by their CEO or director.

      Question 1

Mostly things about how I would solve situations, then in the in person interview they gave us a CEO's profile and asked us to write a few questions we would ask them in an interview.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Focus Reports in Aug 2018

      Interview

The interview process consisted in one online interview followed by, if successful,a 2-day recruitment session (with other candidates) in the company's headquarters in Madrid, Spain. The online interview consisted in motivation based questions to get to know the candidate more. It is also the occasion for Focus Reports to introduce the candidates to the fast-paced nature of the job and all its drawbacks. They are very transparent about the pros and cons of the job and make sure the candidates will be a good fit. After the interview, I was asked to fill a quick questionnaire about my personality and a very brief essay summarising three interviews. As for the recruitment session, the first day consists mainly in presenting the business model of the company in details and role-plays about pitching the latter. The second day is more focussed on role-plays in pairs, with another candidate, that consisted in delivering sales pitches and simulating interviews. The second day ended with one last interview to go through the motivations of the candidate, now that they have a clearer idea of what is expected from the job. The recruitment session in Madrid requires some preparation and selling skills, yet even though I did not get an offer in the end, it was a very enjoyable and insightful experience. I would recommend anyone to go.

      Question 1

You have to be prepared to explain why the job motivates you and show willingness to travel 90% of the time.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Focus Reports

      Interview

I submitted my cover letter and CV and was called the next day for the initial phone screening. The first Skype interview was also scheduled for the following day. I spoke to a recruiter and while the interview was mainly conducted in english we did speak in spanish briefly. The interviewer was nice but really wanted to emphasize the point of how much travel and work the position involves. He said there is not much time for vacation and taking time off is not often possible.

      Question 1

What am I looking to get out of the job and why I think I would be a good candidate.
