Interview
Overall the process started smoothly with quick replies, but towards the end it became very slow. As we advanced to the final rounds the hiring manager decided to get more candidates to interview while keeping everyone else who interviewed in limbo waiting for their decision. In the end it seemed they kept everyone in limbo while they were basically looking at other candidates and accommodating their schedule to interview them and make their decision. In the end HR was non responsive with updates on the progress of hiring for this position. Think of it like waiting on someone to say yes to a date but that person keeps you on the hook while waiting on their best choice to decide if they will choose her. Overall a sketchy way to run an interview process to say the least.

Interview
I interviewed for a Lead Data Engineer role and went through multiple rounds with technical and leadership interviewers. The discussions focused on data engineering architecture, data quality frameworks, and governance practices, which align closely with my current role as a data quality engineering specialist.
After completing the interview process, the feedback provided was that I “lacked depth in the required skills,” which was unexpected given that the topics discussed are part of my current specialization. Within a few days of receiving this feedback, the company posted a new role for a Lead Data Quality Analyst with requirements very similar to the experience outlined in my resume and discussed during interviews. The process left the impression that the role expectations may not have been clearly defined before interviewing candidates.

Interview
There was not an opportunity for me to ask questions during the interview or at the end of the interview because of the number of questions I was asked during the panel interview. The interview felt rushed.
