I had a very good interview experience. To me it seemed friendly and, though challenging in parts, very fair.
In the short intro interview one of the interviewers was a recent addition to the team who had come from a similar professional background I had. I got the impression that Fletchers had really tried hard to match me with someone who would help me find out as much about the firm as possible, and who could give me a good account of the company as a new starter. I found this very helpful and I learned a lot about the company culture during the interviews.
The interviewers I had were very friendly and I did not get any sense they were trying to "catch me out" with any of the questions when we code to the technical part of the process. The code questions themselves were challenging in parts but tended to start off easier so that you could get a good overview of the set-up to begin with. The questions were highly relevant to the code required for the job.
The interview format was laid out clearly beforehand, with length, expectations, and software env requirements all detailed. I was also put in touch with a very friendly member of the recruitment team who made it clear I could send any questions I might have her way before the interviews.
