I arrived early to the interview, and the interviewer arrived 15 minutes late. We spoke and everything seems on the up and up. I toured the kitchen at Steakhouse 5. The owner said I was a great candidate and made an offer. He allowed me to choose between working at either of his restaurants, Steakhouse Five or Five Senses. After the interview I went to the owner's other restaurant and spoke with the manager there and set up a time to shadow the chefs. I returned and shadowed the next day. It went well. I understood everything they were doing, and they cooked and prepared exactly how I would have expected. Nothing surprising or too new (maybe 2 recipes I would need to practice on). After all of this I got ghosted. Full ghosting. I heard nothing back and my attempts to contact the company were completely ignored. Don't waste your time with these guys. They don't keep their word.
