Red flags appeared early in the interview process. Interviews were recorded without clear prior consent, which immediately felt unprofessional. The process itself was unnecessarily lengthy, and the second round interview consisted mostly of rapid fire questions with very little insight into the actual role, expectations, or company direction.
This is a new team and role, and it showed. Overall preparation was lacking and the process felt disorganized. There appears to be no established CRM, limited structure, and minimal enablement, which raises concerns about long term success in the position. Both sales managers are fully remote and off site, which further contributed to concerns around support, coaching, and onboarding.
Candidates are also required to complete a personality assessment to determine culture fit, which came across as excessive and somewhat cult like rather than professional.
The company website was another turn off, featuring an overwhelming number of unnecessary and unprofessional employee graphics that detract from credibility. Additionally, many of the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Glassdoor and other platforms appear questionable and potentially incentivized, as they follow similar patterns and language.
Overall, the role felt poorly defined and set up for failure, with limited transparency and support.
