      Account Manager Interview

      17 Apr 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Troy, MI
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Fiducia Marketing (Troy, MI) in Aug 2012

      Interview

First round interviews are brief but a great overview of the company. Laid back, but still professional setting. 2nd round interview is cool, because it gives candidates an opportunity to job shadow and see what exactly the job would entail, which is good to know what a day in the life of would be. 3rd round is brief and wraps up the day, while still being thorough about the hiring process.

      Account Manager Interview

      8 Aug 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Fiducia Marketing

      Interview

This company has a three step interview process but it feels a bit like a four step. First HR contacted me to ask me some questions about my resume. She felt I was a good fit from my answers so scheduled me for a first round interview for the next day. I met with the hiring manager, who sat down with me and explained that Fiducia is a sales and marketing company that works with a Fortune 500 client. She explained who the client was and how they started, and how Fiducia came to work for them. She was very clear that this was a sales job, which I already knew from both the conversation I'd had on the phone with HR and from researching online. I asked her if this was door to door sales, because online it had cautioned me so. The hiring manager said no - Fiducia had started out as door to door sales, but by 2013 she had shifted it to working with businesses and CEOs, which was a relief. I was brought back for a second round interview, which was an all day job shadow. I'd seen some people complain that when they said full day interview, they really meant full day, and that was true. I got there at 9:30 and was brought back at 4:30, but I really liked it. Most job shadows have you sit in for an hour or so, which does not give you a clear picture. The account manager I was out with very extremely informative, explaining every detail as he did it and answering every question I had. During the lunch break, he broke down the structure of the company, told me about all the different positions and how to get to each one, explained how everything is merit based and you only get what you earn, not what you think you deserve, which really appealed to me - I had left my last job because my coworker, who literally would hide out in the bathroom all day instead of working the floor, had received a promotion while I had been there longer and worked double shifts three times a week had not. I felt everything that the account manager said to me was clear and precise, and there was no confusion or vague answers to any questions I had. When we got back, I was brought in to sit down with the hiring manager again, who asked me how my day was and if, after seeing a real "day in the life" would I be able to do this job. I felt, with all the information the account manager had given me, that I would be more than able to be successful. I was offered the position around 6:00 that night.
