I applied through other source. I interviewed at Fidelity Digital Assets
Interview
After investing pretty significant time across 6 interviews, the recruiter ghosted. Never received a final update from them. Follow-up emails went unanswered, and the process effectively ended with silence. Regardless of outcome, was quite disrespectful and unprofessional.
I was also surprised by the level of domain expertise. For a team focused on digital assets, several interviewers only had a superficial understanding of core concepts.
In one conversation, their lead engineer challenged me on Ethereum finality. I explained that economic finality is generally measured in the ~12–15 minute range (depending on assumptions), while he aggressively insisted it was 2–5 minutes. As their technical lead, was surprising he wouldn't know something so basic. It made for a strange discussion and, along with several similar interactions, left me questioning the depth of expertise across the team.
Overall, the process was underwhelming and poorly coordinated. I expected more from Fidelity.

I would recommend that the interview process be more engaging and communicative. Candidates should feel that their time and expertise are valued, regardless of the outcome. Ensuring that interviewers actively engage in discussions and provide clear responses to questions would create a more professional and respectful experience. Even if a candidate is not the right fit, a more interactive approach can leave a positive impression of the company.
I recently interviewed for the Chief Compliance Officer role at Fidelity Digital Assets. During the interview, I found the atmosphere to be somewhat unwelcoming. At times, there was a noticeable lack of engagement from one of the interviewers, particularly when I sought clarification on whether I could frame my response in the context of Fidelity’s business. Additionally, when leaving the building, I got the impression that the interviewer had little interest in further communication. Ultimately, I was not offered the role
