I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at FedEx (Indianapolis, IN) in Jan 2010
Interview
One must provide a complete work and residential history for the prior 10 years. One must not be convicted of any felony related to postal law regulations because a postal clearance is required. After providing the 10 year background check the applicant is sent on-site for a drug urinalysis for pre-employment.

Question 1
Be computer literate because the 10 year background information is to be provided on a computer at the recruitment center.
Mostly based off work history. They seem felon friendly. I do not have a criminal history. Personality test not difficult. They responded within 4 weeks. Haven't been there physically or meant face to face.
Super easy process—mostly online application with basic questions about availability, ability to lift 50-70 lbs, and fast-paced work. No tough interview; quick hire after background check. Positive and straightforward. Definitely worth it.
