I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2015
Interview
Long on opportunity, short on them keeping their word. They don't tell you that they are losing market share, and have been for the last several years. Most people that attempt to become insurance agents in general fail in the long term. It is very difficult to make it with Farmers at this time.
Was basic and tedious asking me questions about my prior work history so make sure that I understood the job role. Overall it was not difficult to formulate an answer to the questions.
The interview was professional and conversational. The agent clearly explained the role, expectations, and growth opportunities. I was asked about my communication skills, work ethic, and goals. Overall, it felt welcoming, informative, and focused on long-term potential rather than pressure
Detailed with multiple calls. Explained in detail the onboarding and training processes including the financial obligations with starting an agency. There was a personality test to help determine fit with the company.
